Meet our veterinary team

Dr. Kevin Oran, VMD - Doctor/Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Kateryna Sovik, DVM

Medical Director

Dr. Kateryna Sovik grew up in Ukraine, where her love for animals began at an early age. As a child, she cared for neighborhood stray dogs and cats, nurturing a deep compassion for animal welfare that would shape her future. In 2016, she graduated from Kharkiv Zoo Veterinary Academy and launched her career as a veterinarian specializing in small animal care.

After moving to the United States in 2022, Dr. Sovik continued pursuing her passion for veterinary medicine. She joined Incline Veterinary Hospital in 2024, where she now serves as Medical Director. Dr. Sovik is committed to delivering exceptional, personalized care and has a special interest in dermatology and dentistry. She also enjoys mentoring her team and building trusted relationships with pet owners.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Sovik loves to travel and spend time with her husband and their two children. Her life is grounded in compassion—for animals, her clients, and her family.

Dr. Kevin Oran, VMD - Doctor/Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Ivan Grechanichenko, VGAL

Doctor / Veterinary Graduate Awaiting Licensure (VGAL)

Since childhood, Dr. Ivan has been passionate about biology and chemistry. He grew up near farms and had many pets in his hometown. Initially, he wanted to become a biologist; however, after reading James Herriot’s book All Creatures Great and Small, which described the life and work of a British veterinarian, he was deeply inspired to pursue veterinary medicine.

Dr. Ivan graduated from veterinary school in Russia and went on to work in various hospitals for over 10 years. Six years ago, he began to specialize in surgery—a field he particularly enjoys. To gain more experience, he worked in large emergency hospitals in Moscow and also served as a house-call veterinarian, helping clients who couldn’t bring their pets to the hospital.

He regularly attends veterinary congresses, master classes, and continuing education courses. Dr. Ivan enjoys learning and believes that staying up to date is essential to providing the best veterinary care.

In 2022, he moved to the United States to continue his veterinary career. He gained valuable experience working at Midtown Animal Hospital in California in 2024 and is currently awaiting the final exam required to become a fully licensed veterinarian in Nevada.

Dr. Ivan joined Incline Veterinary Hospital in 2025, beginning his role as a VGAL after successfully passing the national veterinary exam.

Outside of work, Dr. Ivan enjoys photography, history, and hiking. He loves camping by lakes with his family and recently adopted an adorable cat named Popsicle from a local shelter.
