incline veterinary hospital - kris moger

Dr. Kris Moger, DVM

Doctor

Dr. Kris Moger grew up in Connecticut and received her DVM degree from the University of Florida in 1992. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, she became an emergency clinician with employment in Stratford and New Haven, CT. Dr. Moger also served as an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac College, teaching Clinical Pathology to students in the Veterinary Technology program. She was later hired as the Director of Clinical Services at the New Haven Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine. In 1997, Dr. Moger relocated to Monterey, CA, where she continued working as an ER doctor. In 1999, Dr. Moger purchased her first practice in the central valley town of Madera, CA.

She realized her opportunity to develop a lower-quality one-doctor practice into a full-service hospital with three doctors, a large, well-trained support staff, and a beautiful modern facility. Dr. Moger was able to sell her practice and relocate to Incline Village with her husband and eight-year-old daughter in June 2013.

Although Dr. Moger cherished her time off, she missed the challenges of veterinary medicine and purchased the Incline Veterinary Hospital in October of 2014. Dr. Moger loves being an integral part of this wonderful community and continues to strive to strengthen the bond between Incline Pets and their human families. In 2021 Dr. Moger sold the practice to Western Veterinary Partners. She has very much enjoyed taking a step back to practice medicine and building relationships with her clients, rather than having to manage a business.

Dr. Moger’s professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery, clinical pathology, and care of “pocket pets” (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, hamsters, etc.). Her other interests include baseball (a huge NY Yankee fan!), and she is an avid softball player and coach. She loves to ski, hike, and camp, and is also an NAFC-certified fitness instructor. Dr. Moger is also involved in the annual Incline Star Follies as a dancer and choreographer. She and her family enjoy the company their two cats, Tessa and Parker.

Dr. Kevin Oran, VMD - Doctor/Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Kevin Oran, VMD

Doctor/Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Kevin Oran has an undergraduate B.S. from the University of Minnesota and received his VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. He worked for six years at a busy, nine-doctor animal practice in Chicago, Illinois. For the past two years, he has worked at a small animal practice in Orange County, California. He recently moved to Lake Tahoe with his husband and Yellow Lab.

Dr. Kevin’s areas of interest include preventative, internal, and geriatric medicine, with a special interest in dentistry.

“I have always wanted to be a veterinarian and I got my first job in the field when I was 15. I have never looked back, and it was the right decision for me! As one would expect, I was initially attracted to the field by the pets; however, I quickly realized that the relationship I formed with the owners was equally as important and rewarding.”

Dr. Kevin’s hobbies include hiking, skiing, traveling, and cooking. “I am so excited and proud to be a new member of the Lake Tahoe region. We are so grateful for the warmth and generosity of this community already!”

Emmalee Bishop - CSR

Emmalee Bishop

CSR/Veterinary Assistant

Emmalee grew up in Carson City NV, she just started her career in veterinary medicine this June 2023. Emmalee wants to pursue an associate of veterinary science to become a licensed technician in Nevada. Working with exotic animals is her aspiration. A long-term goal would be to pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine and become an exotic pet DVM. Prior to working for Incline Vet, Emmalee was a hostess at the Hyatt for 2 years, giving her the excellent customer service experience.

Currently she has 4 dogs and a leopard gecko, she loves to travel, as well as go hiking and camping. She has lived near the Tahoe basin her whole life, and now being able to work in the area while working towards her life long career of veterinary medicine has made the perfect combination.

Emmalee Bishop - CSR

Casey Turak

Lead CSR

Casey is originally from Indiana and grew up on a horse farm, and she moved to Incline Village a little over 2 years ago. The farm is where her love and passion for animals began. From a young age she knew she would work her way into the veterinary field. As of January of 2024, Casey is currently a customer service representative, so we hope you all get to say hello and meet her! Although Casey has long term goals to become a veterinary technician, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her.

In her free time, Casey teaches line dancing around the Tahoe basin. If she is not line dancing, she is swing dancing with her boyfriend, golfing, or snowboarding weather dependent. Casey has an adorable doodle named Bean that joins her in just about everything she does, (as long as its not too physical, as Bean is only “hot girl fit”) Bean would much rather join in on a long nap session or cuddles.
